Do you still remember the Gucci’s “Sloaney” collection (for London), “Gucci ? NY” collection (for New York) and “Gucci’s 1950s Postcard” collection (for Rome)? It has become a tradition for Gucci that as soon as its new store starts business or other great event happens, Gucci always released timely Limited Edition collection to celebrate the significant moment.
Last month to celebrate a new Gucci flagship store in Shanghai, Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini designed the “Shanghai Dragon Bag“. Its design is based on the popular Gucci Boston handbag but injected a new element to show us a distinctive appearance. The important element is the symbol of China, dragon. The white GG leather comes alive with graphic and intricate dragon prints in bold red. The Gucci strip in the middle of the bag sets off a sporty racing stripe perfectly.
As a nod to China’s ancient culture and iconic symbolism, this Gucci Shanghai Dragon Bag must make the Chinese Gucci fans go crazy. There are only 200 pieces available on the market with a price of RMB7490.
